A brand new Filippa K
Opening a house of Scandinavian minimalism in the heart of The Netherlands
This week saw the opening of the Swedish fashion concept's new three-floor space in Amsterdam. Housing both a flagship store and an office, Filippa K’s Scandinavian design heritage and brand vision – where simplicity is the purest form of luxury – is present in every detail and choice of material. Developed by Filippa K´s in-house creative team together with Swedish bureau White Arkitekter, the store concept is minimalistic yet warm, with a variation of Bianca Lasa stone and elm wood, heavy tactile linen fabrics, earthy hues and interior design by Vitra and Harry Bertoia. The store also has a greenery with a mix of trees, as well as a five-meter tall fig tree in the store window.

Early 2018, H&M Group launch new affordable luxury concept /Nyden. Following up on the launch of Arket and the ambition to establish more brands within the H&M sphere, /Nyden's main target group will be millenials. The slash in the brand name indicates the concept's focus on limited edition collaborations with different creators, founder Oscar Olsson tells New York Magazine's The Cut, also revealing Noomi Rapace and tattoo artist Doctor Woo to be the first two partners. /Nyden will be distributed online and through pop up stores.

A timeless premium rucksack
Copenhagen and Hong Kong-based accessory brand Totem Collective adds a backpack to their line of bags. The newcomer, simply called Backpack 01, is designed by former Head of Men’s Bags at Loewe, Maj Wiboe, to last over time, and made of premium calf leather. Features attached includes a rounded flap zipper closure accented by adjustable carrying straps and a top leather handle for hand carrying. Scandinavian fashion week season coming up
The schedule is set for the upcoming fashion weeks in Stockholm and Copenhagen. The Danish capital welcomes more than 25 designers at the official catwalk schedule, including Han Kjobenhavn and Astrid Andersen, Swedish Uniforms for the Dedicated and Norwegian Holzweiler, while Fashion Week Stockholm presents debut show by Johannes Adele, first menswear line from awarded label Stand and welcome Filippa K back to the week.
Fashion Week Stockholm takes place January 22-24, while the dates for Copenhagen Fashion Week are January 30-February 1.
