Weekday celebrates unity and workwear at its core in new collab capsule with legendary Lee

But don’t get this wrong; Weekday x Lee is not about nostalgia.

The 22-piece collab is inspired by mid 90s youth culture and the two brands use Lee’s denim history and the Weekday fashion perspective to create a collection that feels both current and made in unity.

To form the collection, the Weekday design team had the freedom to scour Lee’s 130-year-old archive looking for iconic denim pieces. While Lee stands for denim authenticity as well as the recognizable details such as the triple needle stitching, the labeling and spade pockets, Weekday stands for creative upsizing and tagging of garments.

— For us, this collaboration is about our shared passion for denim. Lee jeans are very distinct and have a look that is different from other denim brands, they have beautiful details while still being playful and for us that is very inspiring, says Per Axén, Men’s Denim Designer at Weekday.

Lee brings an American workwear sensibility that can’t be missed but it is the creative recreation that elevates the collection. Light concrete beige, indigo, and pink creates both a fundamental workwear, yet youthful look. BCI-certified cotton carpenter trousers, wide jeans, overalls, coveralls, service jackets and coats are the stand out pieces. Petrol service worker meets skate.
