Uniforms for the Dedicated Autumn/Winter 2018 show at Hotel D’Angleterre in Copenhagen
Best described as a conscious and curious state of mind that is organically evolving as a contemporary men’s fashion label, Uniforms for the Dedicated combines street with elegance, Scandinavian minimalism with expressive storytelling, and influences such as pop culture, sports, and politics.
How would you describe the AW18 collection?
– The collection, Rebels & Lovers, is swayed by rebellious movement and romance – an army of lovers, co-founder Lars Hedberg says. The aesthetics is party drawn from the Black Panthers of the 60s/70s, also explaining the relative black tone in the collection. Some standouts include a range of long coats including both subtle and army themed detailing, crewnecks and trousers with tone in tone taping, one buttoned suiting, and safari inspired overshirts.
Why is it important for you to show in Copenhagen?
– Copenhagen has its certain vibe, why so many, including us, like going there. People generally bringing a good mood while work is mixed with pleasure – a good atmosphere for a show, simply. Also, next to Paris, Copenhagen has turned out to be a most important occasion to meet with clients and press – not only for Scandinavia and northern Europe, but also globally on occasions.
_What’s the most important thing coming for you in 2018?
– After two years of building the direction of Uniforms for the Dedicated going forward, it’s time to get moving finally. 2018 will include a growing focus on Stockholm as our home base, yet more travels, and a few more shows and collaborations to get the voice of the brand out.D'Angleterre
