“The inspiration was from the teenage period when travelling alone”
The Stockholm-based label continues to experiment with proportions, silhouettes, and fabrics, presenting their own takes on classic pieces to challenge the world of menswear in their coming Fall/Winter -18 collection.
How would you describe the AW18 collection?
– The inspiration was from the teenage period when travelling alone on your way from home, almost like a hiking experience, says designer Jonatan Härngren. We’ve made our own 70s inspired check pattern and my personal favourites are a highly contemporary suit with the detailing you use to see on the inside put on the outside, including the labels, as well as a sweater in a cashmere mix, knitted inside out and embroidered with text messages.
What’re the most important things coming for L’Homme Rouge in 2018?
– Everything! That’s what we love, that even the small details are so important. But of course, showing a new collection and the constant search for quality that we want to deliver. And we can’t wait to present our special Woolmark collection (made when they were awarded the European winner of The Woolmark Prize, Editors note) in a physical context here in Stockholm sometime soon.
