MLTV’s part Four of Episode XII collection hits the Moscow Fashion Week runway as one of ten Global Talents

A jury with several of the leading names in the global fashion industry praised Creative Director Anna Sjunnesson’s sensual streetwear with architectural influences.

Sjunnesson started MLTV after studying at The Academy of cutting and tailoring in Stockholm.

— I do sensual streetwear with architectural influences. I work a lot with function and mix minimalistic pieces with conceptual ones that run out of the theme “co-designing”. I want to question the otherwise one-way-communication between designer and wearer and allow the pieces to be personalized expressions. The collections — or Episodes, as I call them — feature multifunctional and transformable pieces and most recently I have been working with Velcro fabric and tape.

Last night, she showed part Four of Episode XII for SS20 at Moscow Fashion Week as part of The Russian Fashion Council’s competition Global Talents. The jury includes Sara Maino (Vogue Italia), Eduardo Garcia (Fucking Young), and Harriet Verney (Love Magazine).

— The story behind it is that I received an invitation by the Russian Fashion Council to apply for Global Talents, a new competition where the winners get a sponsored show during MBFW Russia. I applied with moodboards and sketches for my new collection Part Four. And three weeks ago I received the announcement that I was one of the winners. I’m very happy and grateful for this amazing opportunity, says Sjunnesson.

Tell us about the show.

— It was fun! We had some language barrier difficulties during the day, haha, but in the end everything turned out well and I am very happy with the outcome. DJ Takashi Himeoka had put together the music and I feel that he really added another level to the show. All models were really nice as well, which isn’t always the situation.

What else do you have coming?

— Beside the brand I work as a stylist and I have a couple of fun editorials coming up. I will also be shooting and filming the campaigns for Part Four. The collection has two different themes; “Picking flowers with the body” and “Thieving”. I look forward to present the concepts further!
