Lindsey Vonn joins award-winning luxury sports brand YNIQ as shareholder
The Swedish brand has received international praise for their patented technology and design for improved vision in alpine racing.
YNIQ was founded to give skiers and boarders the world’s best goggles. Nothing less. They were awarded the prestigious ISPO award at ISPO 2015 in Munich for their peripheral vision technology, an invention that provides the broadest vision available on the ski goggle market. Handcrafted in Italy, the great design and quality has helped the brand claiming a strong position in the market for alpine eyewear.
The retailers include Gorsuch, Net-A-Porter, and matchesfashion.com and the company is already backed by a conglomerate of Swedish investors. And now, together with Lindsey Vonn, the most successful female alpine skier in the history with a world-record 82 World Cup wins, increasing their presence worldwide.
— We are proud to have the number one in the sport joining our group of owners. YNIQ stands for a relentless aim for perfection, functionality and handcrafted quality in a world of mass production, and Lindsey is an outstanding champion, with a dedication and passion for the sport and an impeccable style that is a complete match with ours, says founder Mikael Kenson.
— Fashion and function have always been important to me on and off of the slopes. I’m excited to join YNIQ’s creative and forward-thinking team as a stakeholder in their unparalleled ski accessory. Their passion for quality, innovation and style naturally aligned with my vision of what luxury high performance eyewear should be, says Vonn.YNIQLindsey VonnISPO Awardski googlesGorsuchNet-A-Portermatchesfashion.comMikael Kenson
