Johannes Adele uses Nudie Jeans’ old black denim and other brands’ leftover stock for their SS20 collection
The creative duo explores the Sci-Fi father’s environmental predictions.
Johannes Leijonberg from Sweden and Adele Gillardeau from France are back with their 10th collection, Nautilus, for SS20. The name of the collection is inspired by Jules Verne – the father of Sci-Fi – and his early visions and concerns about the future of the environment. There's no denying that Verne’s earthly concerns are reality.
– We always create our collections as ecological as possible with a clear focus on quality and ethical methods. This time, we have stepped it up furthermore by for example using fabric from other brands’ leftover stock, says Johannes Leijonberg.
The collection SS20 is created by using black cotton jeans from Swedish Nudie, beige-white and blue-white linen fabric from an old mattress company and white ecologic silk from England. This is all beautifully mixed with 100 percent naturally produced khadi light handmade cotton from Indian villages, black and gold lace from Calais in northern France and gold leather from southern France.JohannesAdeleSS20
