Is a pair of jeans as a piece of art?
Perhaps so, at least if you ask one of Scandinavia’s leading denim stores, launching a very special drop with Japan Blue Jeans today.
Göteborg Manufaktur was founded five years ago in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a main focus on long lasting quality goods and denim.
— We started of as a denim repair shop and have grown into a store near the Haga district, says Co-founder Olof Norrman, continuing,
— We’re offering a handpicked selection of what we consider being the best denim and other garments out there both in terms of quality and how it’s being produced. With a rich heritage and workwear inspiration, we work with the finest makers from Sweden, Japan, USA and Europe.
Today is the release of their collab with Japan Blue Jeans, one of the oldest and finest denim producers in Japan.
— We have been working with them since the start and are really excited being one of the first European stores making jeans together. It is a limited edition, 40 pairs made and numbered, so first come first serve! The denim is an organic cotton 13 oz selvedge fabric, paper patch, woven by Collect Mills and has a deep indigo hue with just the right amount of structure. The fit is a mid waisted, tapered fit that gives a modern silhouette.
And next? A wider collection of garments in Göteborg Manufaktur’s own collection for AW20, according to Norrman.Olof NorrmanCollect MillsJapan Blue JeansGöteborg Manufaktur
