Han Kjøbenhavn joins Milan Fashion Week’s official schedule for their Fall/Winter ’20 show
The Danish fashion house continues its international expansion and growth with a new collection, inspired by the Danish winter landscape.
The last couple of years, Han Kjøbenhavn has accelerated the international expansion and growth of the brand. The social realistic runway shows has the last couple of seasons been organized outside of the brand’s home turf of Copenhagen, Denmark as part of the international expansion strategy of the fashion house.
During the coming Milano Fashion Week in January, Han Kjøbenhavn will be part of the official show calendar of Milano Fashion Week. And the brand consider this as an important recognition of their advancement.
— For a number of years we have felt that we were ready for showing at the ‘Big Four’ fashion weeks and compete at the highest level possible. Being part of the official calendar in Milano with all its history and leading fashion houses is something we have really worked hard for and that we are excited about, says founder and creative director, Jannik Wikkelsø Davidsen.
The Fall/Winter ‘20 collection is named The Social Resort and is inspired by the Danish winter landscape, the short days, and the endless darkness. It is a study in human behaviour when the landscape changes and impacts the social interaction between people. When the rough winter climate takes over, we seek social resorts to engage with each other and participates in communities that stimulates togetherness.
The show takes place January 12 at 17.00. The location is still TBC.Han KjøbenhavnJannik Wikkelsø DavidsenMilan Fashion WeekMilano Fashion WeekMilan Fashion Week F/W -20
