After two years of research: sprezzatura haven drops suit and jacket line with the perfect fit
Gabucci celebrates 25 years in the business with the relaunch of their own line plus a special anniversary collection developed together with the world’s leading manufacturers.
The Stockholm-based retailer provides handpicked high-quality garments from the best — and not just the biggest — suppliers in the business. And they don’t care that much about the strong streetwear trend.
— We’ll keep mixing casual wear and high-end tailoring and we hope that’s what makes us interesting, says Jonathan Ingman, E-Commerce manager. He adds: Some of our smaller manufacturers are only able to produce a certain amount of garments each season, so if a jacket is sold out, then we have to gently wait until the next season. A great charm.
How will you celebrate your 25th anniversary?
— Today and tomorrow, we’ve invited our great friends Finamore, Cesare Attolini, and Bontoni from Italy for an in-store trunk show. You'll be able to order shoes, shirts and suits of your own measurements and demands. We’ve grown together with our manufacturers over the years and now see each other as one big Italian family. And with two of them we’ve made a special anniversary collection. Together with the family of Cesare Attolini we’ve produced a line of limited jackets and suits and one incredibly soft jacket in vicuña and cashmere. And Bontoni’s shoemakers created a split toe shoe with incredible patina finish, all handmade in the basement of their family house.
Just the other week, their very own, relaunched line of suits and jackets arrived.
— It has taken us two years of research and development to acquire the perfect fit and shape, says Ingman. To say that we’re proud is an understatement. The natural soft crafted shoulders of the jacket is incredibly comfortable and pliable, it got the feeling of a sweater. This fall season we’ve made all our jackets in pure cashmere from some of the best producers in the business like Loro Piana.
— Along with the launch we're still looking to wider our selection under our own label. However, as mentioned, you can’t fast forward a quality product, but hopefully you’ll soon be able to buy coats, bags and other garments with the yellow Gabucci label.
Gabucci is located at Nybrogatan 14 in Stockholm. They’re also just about to relaunch their website — including a more editorial take with interviews, guides and inspiration and their womenswear shop.Jonathan IngmanGabucci
