5 x talked-about Scandinavian collabs – and 1 real Danish royalty modelling it
OFF-White and Byredo’s coming collaboration created a major buzz in the fashion industry. However, there are several more Scandi cooperations making a creative mark, including one with a clear royal touch.
OFF-WHITE x Byredo Last Sunday, two of the coolest guys in the industry – Off-White’s Virgil Abloh and Swedish luxury label Byredo’s Ben Gorham – presented the two label’s coming collaboration during an art installation by German artist Carsten Höller at Galerie Italienne in Paris. The capsule collection’s title, “Elevator Music” refers to sounds created for passive listening, and includes an eau de parfum, hand cream, bags, denim, and graphic T-shirts, all packaged and designed in a street-chic, black-and-white color scheme.
Available online in a few weeks. Read more about Byredo’s new coming store, in a three-storey townhouse in Soho, London here
Cords x Atelier Choque Le Goff The world’s first fashion brand dedicated to corduroy now follow up the Alpha Industries collab joining forces with Paris-based design agency Atelier Choque Le Goff. The playful capsule features creative elements such as scenography, graphic design, and typography, inspired by street signs.
– Uniting our signature pieces and Choque Le Goff’s smart graphic manner is about questioning your approach to things and breaking old habits. Our initial issue was about how we could change common symbols. Is it possible to turn left to right and making a yes to a no? The theme for both the collection and the campaign is to confuse, but only for fun, says The Cords co-founder Viktor Tell.

HAN KJØBENHAVN X SCHOTT After his international runway debut for Burberry at London Fashion Week a few weeks ago, the Danish prince Nikolai – still in high school and number seven in the succession – was shot wearing a bomber jacket from Han Kjøbenhavn’s capsule with iconic Schott, by Dutch photographer and Scandinavian MAN co-worker Marco van Rijt (GQ Italia, L’Officiel Hommes, and V Man).

Magniberg x V Man Bengt Thornefors spent many years in the design department of Acne Studios, before travelling the world and working for several different fashion houses. His bedwear and furniture brand Magniberg was both born and raised in the suburbs of the capital Stockholm with a certain wish to reimagining bedwear and present home textiles in a new context. The range gives people the opportunity to combine mesh, poplin, lace, silk, linen, washed jersey, and sateen; imbuing these everyday goods with more personal energy. Pictured here is a first teaser of the new collaboration with esteemed V Man – we’re super excited to see more on this!

Lars Nilsson x Svenskt Tenn The Swedish fashion designer has worked for major companies such as Nina Ricci, Christian Dior, Ralph Lauren, Christian Lacroix, and Balmain, as well as created his own menswear Mr Nils. His very first interior line for iconic Swedish Svenskt Tenn is now only weeks away. The textile collection concludes of seven fabrics whence four are printed and three woven, in different combinations of thin and broader stripes. They’re painted by hand in different colours, using watercolour, chalk, or felt pen.
– I’ve always liked stripes, especially in men’s shirts, and have used colours from nature and the flowers on Italian capri, Nilsson says.
The collection is launched at an exhibition at Svenskt Tenn in Stockholm, premiering March 23. Later this year sees a new, yet secret, interior collaboration by NilssonOff-WhiteByredoThe CordsHan KjobenhavnSchottMagnibergV ManSvenskt TennLars Nilsson
