21-year-old Norwegian is the first coloured male model on Business of Fashion’s prestigious list
Quite a year for Jeenu Mahadevan!
Mahadevan was featured in Vogue Paris in January 2018, listing him as one to watch. Since then, Melk & Honning reports, he’s been the campaign model for Dolce & Gabbana, Adidas, Fendi, and Ralph Lauren, and walked the runway for almost every international fashion house that matters.
Last night in Paris, during a gala at Fashion Week, he was included on Business of Fashion’s BoF 500 list, as the fourth male model to date.
”Having walked the runway for the likes of Givenchy, Versace and Fendi, he joins only a few models of South Asian origin to break into modelling and has been outspoken about colourism in the industry.”
Three other Scandinavians were included on this year’s list: the duo behind Ganni (Ditte and Nicolaj Reffstrup), model Mona Tougaard, and designer Benjamin Alexander Huseby.Jeenu MahadevanBusiness of FashionBoF 500Alexander NorheimTeam ModelsMelk & Honning
