”It is easy to think that menswear at Pitti Uomo is mainly about exaggerated moustaches, quirky glasses and ugly, colourful suits, but in reality, the fair is a much more vibrant and complex experience” states fashion writer and professor in fashion studies, Philip Warkander, in his reflection on last week in Florence.
”The magazine is all about concept where the theme isn’t just reflecting the stories but also the entire form and graphic design, meaning that each edition becomes something completely new, hence the magazine’s name,” says New Magazine’s Linnea Mesko and Frida-My Sundqvist. They’re looking at print as a 3-dimensional well-curated object, now releasing their second issue where the content is completely based on the theme of ”Two”.
Two students of Industrial Design spent seven years to take their airbag helmet from a brave idea in a Master’s Thesis to a physical product. After the tests during the EU safety certification process proved that it really kicked the ass of traditional helmets, it’s an outstanding success — now ready for the next generation.
